There is something about the day that is in it (that's Valentine's Day in case you didn't know because you are a loveless twat!) that always seems to be set up for disappointment. Maybe that's because, despite all of our modern notions and pretensions, we are still afraid to ask for what we want (what we really, really want without trying to sound like a Spice Girl)
