Thoughts and Meditations on Homosexuality

In homosexual love the passion is homosexuality itself. What a homosexual loves, as if it were his lover, his country, his art, his land, is homosexuality. - Marguerite Duras

In itself, homosexuality is as limiting as heterosexuality: the ideal should be to be capable of loving a woman or a man; either, a human being, without feeling fear, restraint, or obligation. - Simone de Beauvoir

Homosexuality is God's way of insuring that the truly gifted aren't burdened with children. - Samuel Austin Allibone

It always seemed to me a bit pointless to disapprove of homosexuality. It's like disapproving of rain. - Francis Maude

The love that dare not speak its name has become the love that won't shut up. - Robertson Davies

I don't think homosexuality is a choice. Society forces you to think it's a choice, but in fact, it's in one's nature. The choice is whether one expresses one's nature truthfully or spends the rest of one's life lying about it. - Marlo Thomas

Homosexuality is like the weather. It just is. - Andrew Sullivan

Homosexuality was invented by a straight world dealing with its own bisexuality. - Kate Millett

Okay, let's stop there. This is all getting a bit too confusing ... and not a little perplexing!
